PTFE Glass-filled Gasket
It is stamps gaskets from virgin and glass-filled PTFE.PTFE
glass-filled gasket resist virtually all acids and caustics;It has the
lowest known coefficient of friction of any solid, and has excellent
electrical insulating properties. It has a continuous service
temperature range of minus 350F to 500F. It is the ideal material for
use in the petrochemical and chemical processing industries, and because
it is FDA compliant, it can be used in the food processing and
pharmaceutical industries also.
It have a shrinkage rate of approximately 5%. Glass filled PTFE gaskets
have a lower shrink rate, because the glass fiber filler makes them
harder, so they require less compression to seal adequately.
